Technical Assistance

The Hartford Area Child Care Collaborative provides technical assistance to those in the region who need support for quality early childhood programs or initiatives. This service is provided in most cases free of charge, unless there are lengthy services required.

Technical assistance includes but is not limited to: 

  • Assistance with needs assessments and establishment of new early childhood programs;
  • Support for administrators and boards of directors
  • Personnel and organizational structure
  • Performance standards and outcome measurements
  • Curriculum and assessment
  • Before and After School programming
  • Content areas; language & literacy, math, science, art

  • Early childhood financing and funding
  • Child Care Licensing
  • Individual Professional Development Counseling,
  • Conveying information and connect to resources on:

    • CDA information
    • NAEYC Accreditation and re-accreditation
    • Learning environments and room arrangement
    • Challenging Behaviors
    • Conflict Resolution
    • Activity books for infants and toddlers
    • Spanish materials and places to look for resources in Spanish
    • Child Development information
    • Where to take classes and how to enroll in college courses
    • Literacy
